After settling into the hotel, many of us decided to explore the city. Some students went to a light show and to see fireworks on the Kowloon harbor, while a few us just went out to see what all the city had to offer. While walking, we stumbled upon street vendors, a shopping area, and local food. The alleyways were alive with lights and flashing signs, comparatively to New York, and crowded with people from all walks of life. Stumbling upon an outdoor eating area, we had a great meal including orange chicken, noodles, and wantons. We also rang in the new year by cheering with locals when a bell stuck at midnight.
