Tang Ancestral Hall and Lo Wei Wall Village

 1.2.15

We started the day by visiting the Tang Ancestral Hall and Lo Wei Wall Village. The Ancestral Hall houses three important burial sites, each built with artistry in mind and around Chinese symbolism. The center grave, being the princess’s, was intricate and had very fine, hand carved details with extensive use of red and the phoenix motif. The two other burial sites, the right being more important, also featured many floral motifs. The building next the Ancestral Hall housed several figurines and spiral hanging incense for burning. Adjacent to this was the Wall Village, where a King and his family/families with the same sir name would live. Today, locals still occupy the area and live in homes around 700 square feet.
